Things IT professionals never tell you

Anyone who owns a computer end up taking help from IT guys at one point or another of using their device. Eventually personal computers slow down, catch malware or show myriad issues that only an IT professional can solve.

Here are some things that you should know about IT issues but your IT guy won’t tell you:

Almost any lost data is recoverable

Lost data on your pc are not actually lost forever. With the use of right tools almost any data you’ve lost can be recovered again. It may take some time, but a good IT professional can do it. It is a good idea to have a data backup for all your important files in case of system failure though.

Turning on and off your computer really works

Sometimes you panic and call the IT guy at once when your computer freezes. Then he arrives and asks if you’ve tried turning your computer off and on again. This is because sometimes it really does solve common issues of your pc. It is completely normal to panic if your pc acts weird, like freezing screen or showing a completely black screen but the problem is not always catastrophic. Most IT guys would turn off your pc and then turn it back on when this happens. So, keep calm and hit the power button!

Unnecessary apps you downloaded my cause a sluggish pc

If your pc runs like a snail, it may be caused by your overloaded C drive (if you use windows). More often than not it’s caused by the myriad programs and applications you downloaded but don’t use. You may find yourself being asked by your IT guy if you need all the specific apps and programs. Removing the unused and unnecessary stuff from your pc may bring it up to speed if there is no other issue.
