Microsoft server outage deactivates Windows licenses

Windows 10 Professional and Windows 10 Enterprise licences deactivated after Licencing Server issues…

So another furphy for Microsoft this time with their Licence Activation Servers deactivating Windows 10 Pro & Enterprises round the world… This is maybe as embarrassing as Windows 10 Build 1809 and the self deleting Documents Folders which crippled Windows users during the last Patch Tuesday.

Microsoft has acknowledged a problem affecting its Windows license activation servers in multiple countries that has resulted in users being told their Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise installations are invalid.

First hand we’ve seen this on our own machines in the Office, as well as multiple clients panicking about their Windows Licences due the them deactivating

A Microsoft support chat person said the licensing server issue is temporary, and should be fixed within one to two business days.

To reactivate their installations and to get rid of the un-activated copy of Windows watermark, users may need to re-run Windows Activation once the licensing server problem has been sorted out.
